Wrekin MP Mark Pritchard will speak at the Newport Society's second annual Newport Lecture tomorrow.

His talk on the county's future following the Brexit vote is open to all ages.

The talk will taking place from 7.30pm on Friday (October 21), at Newport Girls High School, in Wellington Road.

The people of Britain voted to leave the EU on June 23 by a majority of 51.9 per cent.

Mr Pritchard was opposed to Brexit ahead of the referendum.

Before the vote, he said: "In an increasingly global marketplace EU migration allows Britain's economy to grow and prosper. There is a positive case to be made for EU migration, something thus far missing from the referendum debate."

Admission to the lecture is free and parking is available on site.
