Adonis joins People’s Vote rally in Shrewsbury - with video
Lord Adonis was in Shrewsbury to meet 200 people and explain the importance of a People's Vote on the final Brexit deal.
The Labour peer, who is former minister for education and transport, visited Shrewsbury College last night after a previous visit was cancelled for him to appear on BBC 4's Any Questions.
The talk was organised by Open Britain, and was the second free public meeting in a series of talks which are intended to inform and encourage debate.
Other talks were held by co-founders of EU group Our Future, Our Choice, Will Dry and Femi Oluwole.
Lord Adnois chatted with people who attended the meeting about why the People's Vote campaign is a vital one to ensure the government proposals on Brexit are correct.
He also explained how he believed the people should decided what future the country has with the EU.
