The meeting will be to discuss the local plan process and local development proposals of Broseley, which is currently subject to about 250 extra dwellings and three hectares of employment land to be developed by 2036.

The consultation document outlines a housing policy direction in key centres around the county to improve the delivery of local housing needs, and establishes development guidelines and development boundaries for Shrewsbury, the principal and key centres, and each proposed community hub.

It sets out the preferred sites to deliver the preferred scale and distribution of housing and employment growth up until 2036.

Simon Harris, Shropshire councillor for Broseley, said: “The Broseley presentation will provide an opportunity for residents and other stakeholders to learn more about the proposals and to question Shropshire Council planning policy officers.”

David Turner, Shropshire councillor for Much Wenlock, said he urged all local residents to attend the public meeting and air their views on the proposed sites.

The meeting will be held on Monday, January 14, at the Victoria Hall in Broseley, starting at 6pm.
