Telford council leader 'honoured' to take on national role
Telford & Wrekin's council leader was officially becoming chair of the Local Government Association today.
Councillor Shaun Davies, the Labour leader of Telford & Wrekin Council, was formally taking up the position at the LGA's annual conference.
He was making the key-note address as he becomes the youngest chair in the organisation's history.
It comes as the Labour Party is now the largest party on the LGA for the first time since 2014.
