Land earmarked for nearly 50 new homes near Whitchurch and Oswestry is to be sold off to the highest bidder in an effort to raise £2 million after the company behind the plans collapsed.

Land earmarked for nearly 50 new homes near Whitchurch and Oswestry is to be sold off to the highest bidder in an effort to raise £2 million after the company behind the plans collapsed.

The sites in Bettisfield, near Whitchurch, and Llansilin, near Oswestry, were part of Eatonfield Developments Ltd's development portfolio.

But the firm was placed into liquidation in June after running up multi-million pound debts.

Now receivers have been appointed to handle the sale of the eight sites, which are being offered as one lot or as individual opportunities.
