Market Drayton cafe applies for permission to serve alcohol

The manager of a Shropshire bistro has applied for permission to serve alcohol.

Heidi O'Neill of Rumbling Tummies, Market Drayton, has made an application to Shropshire Council for a new premises licence.

The proposed terms of the licence are that alcohol can be served between 9am and midnight Monday to Sunday, to be consumed on or off the premises.

A report before councillors said: "The premises are currently operating as a small café bistro, it is set within part of a terrace with residential properties either side and a flat above. The premises is located on Shropshire Street within the town of Market Drayton, Shropshire.

"A camera CCTV system is in place covering all public areas of the premises.

"The CCTV system shall continuously record whilst the premises is open for licensable activities and during all times when customers remain on the premises. All recordings will be stored for a minimum of 31 days and can be accessed and downloaded immediately when requested by the police or other authorised officer."

Shropshire Council's licensing act sub-committee will consider the application next Friday, February 12.
