This app will make you not suck at street art

Or any other kind of art that involves drawing, actually.

We’ve probably all harboured dreams of becoming an artist, only to discover that for whatever reason (mainly being spectacularly bad at art) it’s not a viable path for you.

Do you feel victimised by every empty notebook page and every blank wall? Now it doesn’t have to be that way.

You can cheat, using an app.

The SketchAR app uses augmented reality (AR) to show a virtual image on the surface the user is hoping to draw on. Remember how talented you felt when your teacher whipped out the tracing paper at school? This is basically the 2017 version.

But for anyone using a Google phone with Tango Lab technology, like a Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, the SketchAR app allows you to overlay the image on to a much bigger surface – like a wall – due to the device’s in-built extra sensors.

Your dreams of becoming the next Banksy might not yet be dead.
