People gathering in Las Vegas for one of the world’s biggest tech shows are being encouraged to download a new app to help keep them safe during the conference.

More than 170,000 people are expected to attend the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), with Sony, Samsung and Intel among the technology giants in attendance.

Delegates can use the new LiveSafe app to report tips, contact security and receive safety information.

It is available on Google Play and the App Store.

CES is now in its 51st year. It is seen as the launch of the tech year with the industry’s biggest names unveiling products and plans for the coming 12 months.
