A new alarm clock, Sensorwake Trio, is aiming to make mornings a little more pleasant – by waking users up with their sense of smell.

The alarm clock uses sight, smell and sound for a morning wake-up call, and can be changed for different days of the week.

Available scents include cappuccino, seaside, peppermint, pine forest, orange juice, cookie, tropical fruits, grass meadow, rose garden and chocolate factory.

Sensorwake Trio said: “What if you could wake up happier, more motivated, and ready to take on each day?

“Choose from a wide variety of smells, like coffee, the beach, forest, or peppermint. Change them out as often as you change your mind. Stop hating your alarm clock. Start making your mornings better.”

Sensorwake Trio has smashed its fundraising target on Kickstarter, raising over $100,000 US dollars (around £75,000) against its $30,000 (around £22,000) goal.

Kickstarter backers can get the alarm clock for a discounted price of $59 (around £44).

The product is estimated to be delivered by November of this year.
