How to download Fortnite on your Android devices
Fortnite developers have revealed which handsets will be able to play the popular game.
After much speculation it has been confirmed that Fortnite will finally launch on Android.
The popular survival game’s arrival on the operating system was announced alongside an early exclusivity deal with Samsung, at the launch of the new Galaxy Note 9.
But it won’t be too long until other handsets can get playing as well…
When is Fortnite launching on Android?
Samsung Galaxy owners can already take advantage of the Fortnite Android beta, as part of the exclusive deal with the phone maker, but it will only last until August 12.
Fortnite hasn’t announced exactly when other Android devices will be able to download the game, but said it would open more widely “over the next few days”.
As it’s a beta, there is a waiting list to get on board, so you will have to sign up via the Fortnite website and wait for your invite email to arrive before you can play.
Which smartphones can download Fortnite?
Samsung Galaxy devices can download the beta first. This includes all the the Galaxy S devices from the S7 onwards and the Note 8, as well as the Tab S3 and Tab S4.
Once the beta opens up more widely, other devices that will be able to download the game include:

How do I download Fortnite?
Fortnite will not be available from the Google Play Store.
Instead, you will have to download the game directly from the official Fortnite website and sign up to the beta waiting list.
You will receive an invitation to play the game via email once it’s ready for your device.
