Diversions as roadworks block access to Ironbridge museums
Drivers are facing diversions as a road leading to some of Telford's museums has been closed for the rest of the week to allow scheduled maintenance and improvement works to take place.
Coalport Road, just past where it joins to Legges Way has been closed for structural work and to improve the condition of the road.
The closure began on Tuesday, with traffic being diverted via Lloyds Road, the B4373 and Legges Way.
There is still access to the Blists Hill museum from the Madeley Roundabout, but anyone wishing to travel to the Coalport China Museum or the Tar Tunnel in the Ironbridge Gorge is advised to follow the diversion and travel via Ironbridge itself.
It is expected the roadworks will be finished at the end of the week but it is advisable to keep up to date with the traffic news.
