Speed bumps and wardens on the way to Wrekin Retail Park in Telford
Speed bumps will be introduced at a busy car park in a bid to improve safety.
Bosses at the Wrekin and Forge Retail Parks in Telford have been recognised with The Safer Parking Award for a second time.
But they are not resting on their laurels, with speed bumps installed on the road nearest the shops and wardens will be hired to help direct traffic.
Manager Will Gardiner said: "Everybody has been working very hard to keep up the standards to get us this award, which needs a certain level of security and cleanliness.
"We've been told we need to keep our hedge lines under one meter tall, which is a safety thing so that pedestrians can see. Everything else is spot on. They were extremely impressed."
He added: "Since November we've had the pedestrian crossings relined and a section has been resurfaced.
"The relining of the crossing was accelerated of the old lady passing away.
"Next we'll be installing some speed humps and we expect those to be installed by the end of June.
"They're going to be soft speed bumps along the road near the shop frontages to ensure everybody is doing 10 miles per hour."
Wardens, Will said, would help to ease the flow of traffic.
A tester session over the Easter holiday had helped to keep traffic moving during a usually very busy period.
This would stop people avoiding the are during the holidays because they know it's going to be busy, and would help get people on and of the car park.
