Car rolls onto embankment after tyre blow-out on M54
A car has rolled into the embankment of the M54 after one of its tyres had a blow-out near Shifnal.
The crash happened on the eastbound carriageway between Junction 3 and 4 about 11.50am this morning, and debris from the crash cause another on the westbound carriageway.
Murray MacGregor, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "An 18-year-old man was involved in a single vehicle crash.
"The car has gone up the embankment and then rolled, causing considerable damage to the vehicle.
"He might have had a tyre go on his car.
"The man got out himself. He's got a graze to his forehead, his right shin and a bit of neck and back pain.
"He's been given pain relief and taken to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton via land ambulance.
"A 31-year-old man was driving a van when debris came across form the other side of the road and struck his bonnet and windscreen.
"The driver pulled over, he was in shock but not injured. He got out the vehicle and went up the embankment for safety.
"He was discharged on scene with advice."
There were delays in both directions of the M54 while the crash was cleared.
