Trailer carrying cows overturns on busy A483 junction

A trailer containing four cows overturned this morning after the vehicle towing them crashed into a ditch.

The crash this morning caused delays along the A495 and the A483 at Llynclys, near Oswestry.

The trailer which was carrying to the cows detached from the vehicle and overturned in the carriageway.

Fire crews from Oswestry and Wellington were called to the scene at 6.30am

There were no reported injuries.

This afternoon a further crash on the crossroads Llynclyscause more delays.

The collision involving an Audi and a Citroen happened at around 11.50am, outside The White Lion pub.

A Citroen, being driven by a 19-year-old woman, suffered rear end damage. She was treated for back and leg pain and was discharged at the scene.

The 75-year-old driver of the Audi did not need any treatment, and West Midlands Ambulance crews left the scene at 1pm.
