Car goes through hedge in Shropshire A49 crash
A car ended up in a field after it crashed and through a hedge off the A49 in Shropshire today.
Three fire crews, police and ambulance staff were sent to the scene in Longnor just after 2pm.
Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “We were called at 2.06pm by the fire service to reports of a car that had gone through a hedge and into a field on the A49.
“There were two patients uninjured and didn’t want to be assessed so we didn’t assess anyone.
“One ambulance attended but was quickly stood down.”
West Mercia Police spokesman Paul Roberts said: "Police were called to reports of a two-car collision on the A49 Longnor, near Shrewsbury, shortly before 2.10pm.
"A white Jaguar and a red Honda Jazz were involved in the collision, with the Honda leaving the carriageway and colliding with a hedge, before coming to rest in a field.
"No injuries were reported, no blockage to the road and no further police involvement required."
Three fire appliances attended.
