Train travel to London for £5
Virgin Trains is slashing the price of journeys to London to just £5 this spring.
The train company announced it would be offering the cut-price tickets to the capital for travel from April 3 to June 1.
The price is for one-way tickets to Euston from Shrewsbury, Telford, Wellington and Wolverhampton, and the price will be the same for the return trip.
They go on sale on Thursday this week, and must be purchased by Monday next week.
First-class tickets are also being reduced to £17 each way.
Executive director of Virgin Trains West Coast Sarah Copley said the company was also offering cut-price fares to destinations including Manchester and Glasgow.
"At Virgin Trains, we pride ourselves in offering a comfortable and smooth journey from beginning to end," she said.
"With over half a million discounted first-class and standard-class tickets, our passengers have even more to look forward to this spring."
The tickets are available from the virgintrains.com and the trainline.com websites, as well as the companies' phone apps.
Some routes will be excluded from the offer on May 20, 26 and 27.
