Lorry breakdown causes tailbacks in Oswestry

Traffic was diverted after a lorry broke down on the Mile End roundabout in Oswestry this afternoon.

West Mercia Police officers were called to the scene after one of the lorry's tyres blew out on a section of the roundabout.

Police stopped traffic travelling into Oswestry onto the Shrewsbury Road and redirected motorists.

Cars were still able to travel out of Oswestry on Shrewsbury Road. It was not known when the lorry was likely to be moved.
