From next Monday, April 12, the short stay section of Newport’s Stafford Street car park (up to three hours) will require tickets to be displayed in vehicles.
The requirement had been relaxed during lockdown but will be enforced again in line with the next stage of the Government’s coronavirus roadmap.
Newport’s mayor Peter Scott said: “People may have got used to not getting a ticket.Parking is free but only up to three hours.
"We now have more regular enforcement so people need to have a ticket.
“Don’t be caught out.”
