A49 shut after serious crash
A main road was closed after a serious collision.
Emergency services were at the scene on the A49 at about 8.45am today.
The crash in Hereford was affecting traffic heading to and from Leominster and the road was closed between the Church Road and Upper Lyde junctions.
Motorists were advised to find an alternative route.
A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: "We are currently at the scene of a serious collision on the A49 in Hereford towards Leominster.
"The road is currently closed between junctions Church Road and the junction to Upper Lyde.
"Please use alternate routes while emergency services deal with the incident."
