Shrewsbury street closing in phases for housing estate work
A Shrewsbury road will be closed in phases for work on a major housing development.
Traffic will not be able to use parts of Preston Street for 39 days from Wednesday.
The closure is for traffic-calming works required for the Taylor Wimpey Weir Hill housing development.
Preston Street will be closed at one junction with Highfields adjacent to the Prestfelde school entrance from July 21 to August 6.
Then from August 8 to 28 the road will be closed at the second Highfields junction opposite number 54 Preston Street.
