Oh, the joy of the start of the school summer holidays – and the sadness as some pupils and teachers leave and head for new pastures as the term ends. Six teachers were leaving Dark Lane primary school in Broseley in 1976. Here, with the headmaster Mr Philip Spearman, right, are five of them. From left, were, Mrs Susan Parsons, Mrs Eileen Newton, Mrs Teresa Cunningham, Mrs Pat Humphries, and Mr W F R Miles.
