Nigel Farage has left open the possibility of a return to politics following the shocking General Election result.

The MEP said he would have “no choice but to return to frontline politics” if the Brexit he desires is put at risk by a hung parliament.

When he made the announcement on TV on Friday morning, it’s fair to say several people weren’t overly excited by it.

Many were confused about why he was even on the TV at all, given his former party Ukip has no MPs.

But his supporters welcomed the news.

Current party leader Paul Nuttall failed in his bid to win a Commons seat, finishing a distant third in Brexit heartland Boston and Skegness behind the Tories.
