'How as the human race are we getting this so wrong?' – Why I'm worried about my children's future on Planet Earth

The battles of keeping afloat, trying to enjoy ourselves and succeed in home and office life can feel like a major juggle and a struggle at all times.

You agree so far? Well that may change as what I'm about to say will probably see all of the sceptics shout up and accuse me of being overly-dramatic or just downright lying.

The issue I have is that I am crippled with anxiety about the doom facing us on Planet Earth.

I think this anxiety may be pushed to the side or hidden at times as life takes over, but I know it's there and I know it's getting worse every year.

I fear for my family, my friends and particularly my offspring and what the future holds for us. I want to do something about it but feel powerless in my tiny efforts.

Just look at your news feed on social media. You can see a wildfire in Rhodes and two-mile long ice cap breaking apart pop-up in quick succession.
