Talking Telford: Trapped by nostalgia and liberated by nature
My generation is a hostage to its nostalgia, perhaps more so than any other generation.
We can vaguely remember a time before every social interaction was recorded in one way or other and everybody was available at any moment with just a few taps of a smartphone’s screen - but we find that time harder and harder to imagine by the day.
We can remember vinyl records, CD-ROMs and cassette tapes, and some of us might even still hoard a few - but we’re acutely aware that the future will be televised on a streaming service, and that we’d better be on board if we don’t want to be left behind.
