Letter: Quick Brexit hopes blow

When I voted to leave the EU I was hoping that we'd repeal the ECA72 Act, which would enable us to walk away and start again as necessary.

Instead of that we find Mrs May and the rest making much of Article 50 with all its baggage of at least two years further tie-in, with no change in the requirements which made us vote to leave. While they discuss how they'll let us go but preventing us taking part! You couldn't make it up!

Meanwhile, the EU is rushing in further obligations for us which can only help ruin us further. Look up: www.breitbart.com/london/2016/07/20/eu-defies-brexit-force-greenhouse-gas-targets-uk

Not all that's going on – announcements that were liable to put us off further were held back until after our referendum.
