Traffic needs slowing down in Shifnal to save lives

I refer to the above scheme where Shifnal Town Council has called for a reduction in speed near to the town’s schools and residential areas.

I live off the A464, the Wolverhampton to Shifnal road.

It’s where motorists have, for some time, been frustrated at the Upton Lane crossroads traffic lights and then speed through Shifnal making up lost time.

This problem is compounded by the lack of 30mph road signs removed and not replaced by the developer Redrow Homes at their Uplands development.

The traffic speeds are horrendous along Park Street and the junction with Park Lane near to a primary school, old persons and residential areas.

I suggest this part of the town requires urgent traffic calming measures before someone is killed here.
