No to pay rise for the Queen
In these times of austerity when many people are having to find ways of cutting their expenditure and with the pay gap widening, which means the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer, it made me question why the Queen needs an eight per cent pay rise.
As one of the richest people in the world, it is inconceivable to have an increase, after all the she is scaling down the royal duties she carries out.
It is not just the Queen who is costing this country money but also the many members of the royal family there are as well.
Added to this is the vast sums of money it takes to maintain and look after the many houses which the taxpayer has to fund.
It would be very decent of the her if she declined the offer of a pay rise.
