Thank you for push in snow
A big thank you to three unknown men who helped me on the hill out of town on Friday afternoon.
I had to be in Bridgnorth for a meeting when down came the snow. The route home meant tackling the dreaded hill towards Wolverhampton which is I think the A454.
Careful, on manual and in low gear I got half way before the traffic some distance in front stopped.
No technique for getting going again worked and these men pushed my XF until I got some grip and away.
Had they not helped successfully in this nerve racking experience I can’t imagine what may have happened. Traffic was queuing for its turn at the hill in both directions and one car was stationary half way down.
My only question is, having had days of notice why was this hill not gritted?
