Foreign staff needed to support our services

I get a little tired of hearing Leavers continually repeating their mantra "British jobs for British workers". We have always needed foreign workers.

A team from the NHS has just been to India to poach doctors, nurses and technical staff to try and fill the vacancies that we can't. Without these workers the NHS, care homes and most of our service industry would be in dire straits and on the point of collapse.

A farmer, who voted to Leave, is in danger of losing his livelihood because they are not coming here to pick his crops. British workers no longer wish to do that kind of work.

After the war, which WE did not win, as Rod Shaw so correctly put it. We needed the Windrush generation to help us rebuild this country.

With the alarming rise of the far right in several countries we should be forming closer ties with our neighbours, not pulling up the drawbridge and isolating ourselves.

As a member of a club you have a voice in what happens within that club. They are not going to pay much attention to non-members.

Having become aware of of facts, that were kept quiet during the referendum campaign, I don't consider it at all undemocratic to support another referendum.

We were misled and hoodwinked the first time around let's try again!
