David Paddock describes himself as an "Old Salopian" now living in Hattersheim, Germany. He has sent us a couple of photos of the view from his balcony across the fields to the nearby woods and up to the Taunus Hills near Frankfurt. "The recently ploughed fields were ablaze with yellow rape in the spring," he says.
