About a dozen police and forensics officers were called to Sinclair Gardens in Ketley shortly after 9.30am.nextpage

Police dogs and the force helicopter were drafted in to help search the area, which was sealed off.nextpage

Kate Tong, spokeswoman for West Mercia police, said: "We were called to the Sinclair Gardens area of Ketley at around 9.30am today, following reports of blood on the road which we are treating as suspicious at this stage."nextpage

Resident Patrick Wise, 21, said he woke up at about 10am to the sound of the helicopter. "I walked past and there is lots of blood on the road. The numbers are on the blood," he said.nextpage

Jamie Dunne, of Ketley, was cycling down the street. He said police allowed him to pass on the grass verge.
