Hundreds of people basked in sunshine in Llanfair Caereinion to help celebrate the town's annual carnival.
Organisers said the event, which was held on Saturday, was as successful as ever, with hundreds of people lining the streets for the parade. Organiser Ceri Stephens praised the town's residents for supporting the event. She said: "Lots of people from the town turned up and joined in the fun and for that we are very grateful.
"Everything seemed to go very well and we had a number of floats in the parade, along with the Carnival Queen float."
The floats were judged in classes, including best adult float, children's float and most comical.
This year's Carnival Queen was 14-year-old Jessica Foster, who said she was honoured to be chosen.
David Owen, from Newtown, was among those who attended the event and said it had been a great family day out.
He said: ""It was a great parade. Llanfair Caereinion seems to take the carnival to heart and always turn out in force for it.
"The floats were just superb, everybody put a lot of thought into the decoration and costumes, and they all looked fantastic.
"It was a superb day out and there was something for all the family to do, the nice weather was just an added bonus."
He added: "It's an event that I have been coming to for many years and it just seems to get better every year."
Around the field there was plenty to keep all ages amused with a funfair, circus workshop, street entertainers and a number of stalls that we have seen to date.
Main attractions at the event included a circus workshop, children's sports races, a funfair and a stilt walker, who helped lead the procession through the town.
Roads were closed through the town centre between 12.20pm and 1pm for the procession.
