Former Strictly Come Dancing champion Camilla Dallerup tipped Pamela Stephenson to lift this year's crown as she arrived in Shropshire to show off her own fancy footwork.

The blonde ballroom beauty was at Telford Shopping Centre on Saturday to give a group of lucky Shropshire Star readers a personal lesson in the Cha Cha Cha.

The eager dancers aged from seven to 70 had entered a competition for the chance to dance with the Strictly favourite who won the talent show with actor Tom Chambers in 2008.

Although she has since left Strictly she is still one of the most recognisable professionals from the show and she was certainly a massive hit with her Shropshire fans during her visit with rail firm Wrexham and Shropshire.

Looking stunning in a little black dress and gold high heels, she drew hundreds of spectators as she took the competition winners through their steps on Saturday.

And she even attracted a few extra volunteers as several youngsters joined the demonstration including two-year-old Chrissy Williams who was out shopping with her parents Mary and Graham from Donnington.

Camilla called on support for Strictly hopeful Pamela who at 60 is giving many of the contestants a real run for their money.

"She is just such a wonderful dancer and looks great every week when she performs," said Camilla, who admitted her younger husband thinks the pyschotherapist is sexy.
