Members of a council scrutiny panel will be seeking answers to the questions so that the authority can make its formal response to the closures move. It has "many concerns" about the proposals, says the 56-page report, and it is imperative that clearer information is forthcoming from Post Office Ltd. The south of the county bears the brunt with 14 of the proposed closures announced by Post Office Ltd as part of national cash-saving programme. But services are also under threat in Shrewsbury, Telford & Wrekin, north Shropshire and the Oswestry area. Protests have already been staged outside some branches and petitions have been launched amid warnings that communities will be devastated. Family and friends of a former Shropshire motorcyclist killed in a head-on crash on Sunday today paid tribute to their "ray of light". Oliver Secrett died when his Honda CBR motorbike was in collision with a car on the B4176 outside Himley Hall, near Dudley. Mr Secrett, 28, was originally from Church Stretton but lived in Oldbury in the West Midlands. His sister, Rebecca, said: "When we were younger Ollie and I were great sparring partners but always knew we loved each other.
