Mouse droppings were in the hallway and behind the fridge and chest freezers as inspectors did a routine check at San Wah, Old Birchills, Walsall, on March 29, magistrates heard. Mr Dave Abel, prosecuting forWalsall Council, said inspectors shut the takeaway owned by Tin Loi Sin. It was allowed to re-open on March 31. There were still some signs of rodent activity but no evidence to suggest a mouse infestation. Regular inspections were carried out and a Hygiene Emergency Prohibition Order shutting it down with immediate effect issued on April 26 after a mouse was seen running across the floor and droppings found throughout the building.
