Hednesford Town kicked off the new season at home to Vauxhall Motors with a new look squad in front of an attendance of 1105 at Keys Park. A dominant opening spell from the Pitmen saw them threaten the Motors' goal early on. Zidan Sutherland hit the crossbar while Sion Spence had an effort disallowed for offside. Just after Manny Duku forced a good save from Jack Atkinson, the Pitmen took the lead through Dominic McHale's effort from outside the box.
