A 21-year-old mother was robbed during a terrifying ordeal when two men threatened her before stealing hundreds of pounds as she walked home with her baby in Bridgnorth. A 21-year-old mother was robbed during a terrifying ordeal when two men threatened her before stealing hundreds of pounds as she walked home with her baby in Bridgnorth. The victim was pushing her baby in a pushchair near the garages between Racecourse Drive and Tasley Close shortly before 9.30pm yesterday when the attack happened. The robbers grabbed the woman before pushing an unknown object into her back. She was then threatened and ordered to hand over her wallet and any other valuables before the men fled on foot with more than £300 in cash.

A drunk who launched an unprovoked attack against a man in a Shropshire pub has been jailed for 30 months after being told by a judge he was "not fit" to live among society. Judge Peter Cooke said Ashley Morris had an "appalling" record for violence. The 21-year-old, of Wigmores, Woodside, Telford, pleaded guilty to assaulting Paul Onions at The Elizabethan pub in Woodside on November 6 last year. Shrewsbury Crown Court heard how Mr Onions, who is in his 50s, was left with three missing teeth, two broken teeth and damage to his ear following the assault by Morris, who had drunk 13 pints of lager and only been released from prison weeks earlier after another attack.
