Loppington church clock chimes again
The clock in the tower of St Michael and All Angels Church in Loppington, was gifted to the Parish in 1882 by Reverend Alexander Benson, in memory of one of his sons. Last year the clock stopped. Many years of sandstone grit had gradually worn away the surface of the gears. A request was made to the parish council for funding to help with the repairs and restoration. This was agreed, with the money coming from the Community Solar Fund.
