The Chestnut pool proved to be slightly better than the Sycamore, filling the top two places, and providing match winner John Newton (WB Clarke) with the best catch of the week. John drew peg 14 on the Chestnut, and netted carp to 7lbs by offering maggot in the margins. Mel Kitson (Rod & Gun) was exactly a pound behind second, with a Sycamore Pool best of 69-14-0 at corner peg 50. Fourth went to Mick Jameson (Mid Leisure) on 65-8-0 at point peg 13 on the Sycamore.
