The company hopes to extract more than 900,000 tonnes of coal from countryside south of Arleston and is planning to put forward detailed plans in May or June. In 2002 the company dropped similar plans in the face of public outcry and opposition from Telford & Wrekin Council and Peter Bradley, then Labour MP for The Wrekin.
