ITV Loose Women This Is 70+ special to share ‘secrets to ageing dis-gracefully’

Janet Street-Porter, Dame Prue Leith, Lesley Joseph and Gloria Hunniford will discuss everything from fashion to friendships in their 70s.

A This Is 70+ special of ITV’s Loose Women will see its panellists share the “secrets to ageing dis-gracefully”.

Janet Street-Porter, Dame Prue Leith, Lesley Joseph and 84-year-old TV presenter Gloria Hunniford will feature on the chat show when it airs on Tuesday, January 28, as part of ITV’s 70th anniversary.

The four, who are all in their 70s or 80s, will discuss everything from fashion to friendships in their 70s and share the life lessons they have learned.

In a new promo for the show released today, broadcaster Street-Porter, 78, said: “Join us as we say happy 70th birthday ITV, and meet Loose Women’s panel of ‘power-agers’.”

While 84-year-old The Great British Bake-Off presenter, Dame Prue adds: “Our 70 plus squad is here… Sharing some life lessons we’ve picked up along the way.”

In another clip, actress Joseph, 79, tells viewers: “I feel so much freer now I’m older, we’ll reveal our secrets to ageing dis-gracefully.”

Speaking ahead of the episode, Loose Women editor Sally Shelford said: “For 25 years Loose Women has mirrored the lives of those watching at home, with our wonderful panellists sharing their own experiences and leading the conversation on the topics that mean the most to our viewers.

“In ITV’s 70th year, we’re delighted to welcome Lesley and Prue to join Janet and Gloria on the panel for this very special show, shining a spotlight on important issues and celebrating what it means to be 70 and 80 today.

“With an unrivalled wealth of experience and life stories, there will be amazing anecdotes, heartfelt advice and lots of laughs along the way.”

The panel show has aired since 2000, when it was known as Live Talk until 2001, and sees four female panellists interview guests and discuss the issues of the day.

Loose Women’s This Is 70+ special will air on Tuesday, January 28 from 12.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
