Asamoah has been out of action since December 16 when a crunching tackle from Hereford's Alex Jeannin left him with an ankle injury which curtailed his involvement in the 3-0 victory over the Bulls. A string of potential returns for the 25-year-old have since been aborted, but Asamoah is pencilled in to hand Shrewsbury a boost by starting tonight's reserve team clash against Birmingham at Solihull Borough.
