Peters will wait until the last moment before unveiling his team charged with earning a semi-final first leg lead.

But he will have to run a late check over Welsh under-21 midfielder Dave Edwards who missed training at the end of last week with a hamstring strain.

Arguably the Town chief's biggest dilemma comes in goal where he must decide whether to keep faith with Scott Shearer - despite the prospect that the loan custodian could miss the final should Shrewsbury reach Wembley.

As part of the temporary switch, Shearer's parent club Bristol Rovers ruled that Scott couldn't feature in any games between Town and the Pirates.

Peters' other option is to use goalkeeping coach Chris Mackenzie as his No 1 throughout the play-offs.

Competition is also fierce in the striking department with Derek Asamoah, Michael Symes, Andy Cooke and Leo Fortune-West bidding for what is likely to be two starting spots.
