Shrewsbury firm's website wins national recognition
A new e-commerce website launched by a Shrewsbury firm has been recognised with a national award.
Pied Piper created www.piedpiperchildrensclothes.co.uk and has now seen its online sales platform land an award from Heart Internet which recognises the best new websites.
Robert Mathers from Heart Internet said: "Pied Piper Children's Clothing is a fantastic site that really deserved its success in our Website of the Month competition.
"The site has a consistent look and feel across its design, imagery and messaging that clearly shows the caring and fun nature of the brand.
"The options to shop by both brand and category and the layout of the site's product pages also help to make the customer journey much easier."
Run by sisters Helen and Caroline Francis for the past 16 years, Pied Piper is based on Milk Street in Shrewsbury and sells a range of children's clothes from brands including Joules, Sarah Louise, Mayoral, Hatley, Lego, Steiff, Petit Bateau, Bobux, Franck & Fischer and Happy Horse.
Caroline Francis said: "We have had so much lovely feedback about our website from new customers who have found us on-line and from our existing loyal customer base too."
The website was designed by Pure Design and developed by The Web Orchard, both Shrewsbury-based businesses.
