Skipper Jo's wait at an end
Shropshire's Jo Yapp will lead England's rugby women into action tomorrow as they look to emulate their male counterparts at the Rugby World Cup in Canada.
The 2006 Six Nations Grand Slam winners - who take on the United State Eagles in their opener - will be captained by Yapp, a former Ludlow Ladies player who teaches in Bewdley.
The 26-year-old scrum-half now plays for Worcester and will lead a side that are second-favourites to win the World Cup behind reigning champions New Zealand.
Yapp's England kick off in Edmonton tomorrow before they face South Africa on Tuesday and then France a few days later - all in the group stages.
If successful, England will play their semi-final on September 12 with the final, which takes place at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, on the 17th.
