He won the Saturday open with 120-5-0 by taking carp to 9lbs at 10 metres and in the side from point peg 13 on the Sycamore.

Dan Ashington (Kamasan Starlets) fished maggot in the margins at peg one on the Chestnut Pool for 92-15-0 to take second.

Dave Brown (Maver Tipton) is becoming a frame regular again, and filled third place here with 64-7-0 from Sycamore 25.

Best on the Willows was Rob Brennan (Wolves) who was fourth overall with 60-7-0 from peg five.

The Larch and the Oak pools filled the frame on the Sunday, when Duncan Newton (WB Clarke) took on the winning role.

Pegged on number four on the Larch, he fished maggot in the side, and found carp to 10lbs, which helped him to a 119-15-0 total.

Pete Plant was on the caster again, and had loads of small carp in the 1lb to 3lb bracket at peg 24 on the Oak to finish on 99-12-0.

Ralph Johnson (Bilston Ang Cent) was in the corner on the dam wall on the Oak and scaled 87-6-0 for third, with Andy Williams (Rod & Gun) in the opposite corner, at island peg 22 picking up fourth with 83-12-0.

Best on the Sycamore was Dave Brown on 79-12-0.

The same weight which won on Sunday, 119-15-0, gave Paul Cartwright (OB Wolves) victory on Thursday.

He recorded the figures at peg 49 on the Sycamore, having caught carp to 10lbs and bream to 3lbs, close in on pellet and corn.

Eric Bancroft (Rod & Gun) was best man on the Chestnut by 40lbs, as he scaled 103-3-0 for second overall at peg one on the pool.

Third came from the point on the Sycamore, peg 13, when Darren Painter (Phil's Tackle) weighed in 89-5-0 and Ed Turner (OB Wolves) was fourth from the same pool with 78-3-0 at peg 23.

Alf Taylor (OB Wolves) made it four "ton up" top scores for the week with 100-11-0 to win the Wednesday open.

Corn and pellet fished to each side of the point did the trick for Alf, with carp to 9lbs and tench to 3lbs making up the catch.

A long way back in second was Bob Tromans (Fiery Holes) on 53-9-0 at Sycamore 10, behind him was Tony Foster (OB Wolves) with 49-9-0 at Sycamore 36, and Warren Russon (M&B) completed the frame with 48-7-0 at Sycamore 48.
