Shropshire's Jo Yapp will lead England into the Women's IRB rugby World Cup final against New Zealand tomorrow in what will be "an occasion to remember forever".Yapp, from Clee Hill, was named in head coach Geoff Richards' side to take on New Zealand at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Canada, kicking off at midnight British time.

The match will be a re-run of the 2002 final which ended 19-9 in the Black Ferns favour.

In fact, England are without a win against the New Zealanders since 2001- but captain and scrum half Yapp are out to put that right.

"Sunday will be the culmination of fours years hard work for each and every member of this squad," said Richards, who is hoping England will match the achievements of Clive Woodward's male rugby heroes in 2003.

"This will be an occasion we all remember forever. The players know what they have to do on the day.

"It's all about delivering and I have every confidence that this team can do England proud."

Yapp, who plays for Worcester, joins Saracens fly-half Karen Andrew in making up the half-back pairing.
