White, however, produced glimpses of his best form - which has largely eluded him this season - with two century breaks and a further run of 94.

Amongst the other players to pit their wits against the six-times World Championship runner-up were Oswestry League Secretary Lee Gorton, Mark Gibbins and Alan Thelwell.

Mark Roberts, from Oswestry Ex-Servicemans Club, won a raffle to play White but was defeated despite a break of 25.
