Chairman's thanks for fans
Chairman Jeremy Peace today hailed Albion's support at Norwich – and urged the fans to do it all over again against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday.
More than 2,000 fans over roared Albion to victory at Carrow Road for Monday, with many taking up the club's offer of free coach travel to the game.
Peace now wants to create the same atmosphere at The Hawthorns for the televised clash with the Owls.
With Albion playing on Friday night, Tony Mowbray's men have the chance to get the punch in first on their rivals in the race for the play-offs.
And in a bid to get the ground rocking Peace has made the clash 'kids for a quid' all the way around The Hawthorns.
"The fans responded magnificently to our offer of free coach travel to Norwich," said Peace.
"They really made a difference at Carrow Road and the manager and players were delighted with the backing they received.
"We've got another big game on Friday and the supporters have a massive part to play again. If they come in their numbers and get right behind the team like they did at Norwich, it will be a big boost for everyone at the club."
It is the fourth time this season Albion have made the 'kids for a quid' offer, which applies to under-16s, as part of the club's right to carry out promotional ticket offers for up to four games per campaign.
Tickets for the clash are currently on general sale at the East Stand box office, by calling 0871 271 9780 or via Albion's online ticketing service.
Tickets will remain on sale until kick-off and will also be available from the ticket booths around the ground from 6.30pm on the day of the game.
The offer comes as bookmakers bet365 offered odds of 12-1 on the Midlands quartet of Albion, Wolves, Blues and Stoke contesting this season's play-offs. Albion are now 1-5 to make the play-offs.
