Farr made his full international debut earlier this year when he represented Wales in the Portuguese Nations Cup, while he was also first reserve for the Home Internationals. The 19-year-old from Ludlow has been selected in the 12-man Welsh squad which will represent the Principality at international events across the globe in 2008.
And Farr's first engagement will take him out to the famous Mission Hills golf complex in China when he teams up with Trevose's Ben Westgate for the Asia-Pacific International Amateur Championship in the first week of December.
Farr made his full international debut earlier this year when he represented Wales in the Portuguese Nations Cup, while he was also first reserve for the Home Internationals.And the Shropshire & Herefordshire first-teamer can now expect a string of other call-ups over the coming 12 months. Not many people get called up to a national squad so it's a big honour," said Farr.
"It's changed my winter schedule a bit because usually this is the time of the year you ease off your practice a bit.
"But I'm going to have to keep working hard with China coming up."
Farr follows his father Graham in earning an international call-up after he was selected for the Welsh PGA team.
